CATS IE is a  Customs Administration and Trade Solutions company with more than 26 years in the Customs and Foreign Trade Sector. The company website had not been updated since 2010 and required a complete rebranding at the instruction of the Managing Director.

The initial brief was quite vague which provided me with a lot of scope in the initial stages of design. The Managing Director of CATS IE wanted to showcase 'the services the company provides'.   Following further consultation with the MD and the completion of my initial assessment document it became apparent that further research needed to be carried out to define the company's customer personas and from there the definition and re-design  of the website commenced.

Following the research and analysis phase it was necessary to establish some brand guidelines. The company did not have any in place and without them it was hard to determine a style that fitted the brief, the user needs and the company vision.

Multiple rounds of testing were carried out.  Two Adobe XD prototypes were tested with identified target groups.  This led to the testing of two coded prototypes.  A range of devices were used  to ensure the design was robust and fully responsive.  The coded version was built using a wordpress backend.

Eight rounds of user testing were carried during the course of development.  A MVP was developed for each round and the user feedback directly influenced the development of each iteration.

The current version of the site is now live.  Testing and bug fixing continues. Further development is planned based on feedback.Content both visual and written needs to be reviewed and improved with further input from the CATS IE team and users.
